It was 42 years ago today (April 13, 1970), that Apollo 13’s Jack Swigert and Jim Lovell told Houston that they had a bit of a problem. An exploded oxygen tank ended Lovell’s dream of walking on the Moon, but earned him the right to have Tom Hanks play him, in an awesome movie. Talk about lucky 13!
